Artificial Fertilization Must Occur in Darkness to Avoid Failure

 

·        The process of fertilization is artificially achieved by extracting eggs, retrieving a sperm, and then manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish. The embryo is then transferred to the uterus. This process is called in vitro fertilization (IVF). The babies that were fertilized using IVF are called tube babies.
