Artificial Fertilization Must Occur in Darkness to Avoid Failure

• The process of fertilization is artificially achieved by extracting eggs, retrieving a sperm, and then manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish. The embryo is then transferred to the uterus. This process is called in vitro fertilization (IVF)

• In the female reproductive tract, eggs and embryos are in a dark environment, while during the IVF,  they are exposed to various visible and invisible lights such as daylight, microscope, and laminar hood fluorescent lights. Studies have shown that light could damage cellular compartments of eggs and embryos and consequently decrease rates of fertilization, development, and blastocyst formation. • This recently discovered fact was indicated in the Quran [39:6] “Allah Created you in the womb of your mothers, one stage of creation after another, in three veils of darkness”
