Possible Indication that the Food Snatched by the Fly cannot be Recovered
- Flies actually don't have teeth. They have
instead what we would call a Proboscis, sort of like a tongue
like mouth part that almost forms a straw. They inject enzymes
from their mouth causing the food to become more liquid and they
are actually able suck that liquid up through their straw-like
tongue into their mouth, and this is how they actually consume
what they are eathing.
- No one can restore the food of the fly before
or after it drinks it.
- This could be what was indicated in
(Quran, 22:73) “O people! Here is a given
example so listen to it. Those whom you pray to, besides God
[false Gods], cannot create a fly, even if they all gathered
together for this purpose. And even if the
fly would snatch away anything from their
food, they would not be able to restore it.
How weak is the one who prays and the one prayed to [false Gods]”.
