The Gender of the Baby is Determined by the Male

Before the invention of the strong microscopes, the sperm was visualized with little imagination that inside that sperm was a little human being and all it needed is to be implanted in the female where it would grow. There were others that believed that the female egg contained the little human being. The fact that the sperm and the egg are both necessary for conception were not known until the 18th century when strong microscopes were developed.

v The Prophet MuhammadSAW was the first to mention that both fluids from the male and the female are both needed for fertilization. When the Prophet MuhammadSAW was asked by a Jewish person, what is man created from. The Prophet answered "O, Jew, he is created from both: from the fluid (Nutfah) of the man and the fluid (Nutfah) of the woman." (Prophetic Statement Narrated in Musnad Imam Ahmed). v The Quran is the only ancient book that indicated that gender is determined by the ejected sperms. The fluid from the male containing the sperms is the one being ejected. The female egg is not ejected. In Quran [53:45-46] "He has created both genders, male and female from a drop of a sperm emitted."

v The fact that the male chromosome determines the gender of the baby. The egg chromosome is always X but the sperm is either X or Y. If the resulting fetus is XY then the baby is a male but if it’s a XX then the gender of the baby is going to be a female.
