Quran [55:33] states a challenge to the man-kind and to the Jinn-kind. The challenge is to be able to cross the boundaries of heaven and earth without permission from God. The early scholars of Quranic interpretation did not agree on one interpretation of the verse. No one imagined that space travel would even happen. However, with modern technology space travel have started in the 20th century. This opened the door for more literal interpretation of the verse, which is that man-kind and Jinn-kind will be able to reach to the boundaries of heavens but they will not be able to cross except with a permission from their Lord.
Currently, science did not discover what is the edge of the universe. But this verse suggests that we will be able to discover an edge to the universe.
The verse also indicates a possible prediction that humans will be able to reach to the boundaries of heaven but will not be able to cross without authorization from God.
