Why Muslims don’t Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He Died for our Sins?

1. Muslims believe that God is one unit and can’t be divided into roles or units.

2. Muslims believe that everyone carries his/her own sins and no one is to be blamed for someone else’s deeds. Quran 53:38-41 {No soul shall be burdened by the deeds of another. No soul shall bear the sins of another. One shall be held accountable only to his/her deeds. His/her effort shall be shown to him [in the Day of Judgement]. Then he/she shall be judged for his/her own deeds [either get rewarded, punished or forgiven]}. Therefore, no one shall be blamed for the sins of our father Adam. He made his own sin and he repented. God forgave him for what he did.

3. Muslims perception of God is that he wouldn’t come down to earth or send a portion of him and let a bunch of evil criminals and thugs beat him up so badly, humiliate him, torture him and then kill him on a cross. This is not appropriate for his majesty to allows such a thing to take place at all. This would bring him down from his current status as God. This is a low image of God.

4. If one makes mistakes and sincerely ask for forgiveness, he/she shall be forgiven. No sin is bigger than God’s mercy. His mercy is infinite. No needs for sacrifice or anything like that. All what it takes is just a sincere repentance.

5. God’s attributes don’t conflict at all. There is no conflict between His mercy and His justice. It is not appropriate for his majesty. It is a low image of God to believe that His personality is conflicting. We wouldn’t like if someone says that we have a conflict of our personality, we would be offended. How about God?

6. The Quran speaks against describing God as having a son. See the following:

Jonah	10	68		قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ إِنْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ بِهَذَا أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ They say "God has begotten a son" Glory be to Him! He is self-sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No authority has given to you to say this! Say ye about Allah what ye know not?
The Night Journey	17	111		وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًا Say: "Praise be to God Who begets no son, and has no partner in His dominion: nor needs He any to protect Him from humiliation: Yea, magnify Him for His Greatness and Glory!"
The Cave	18	4-5		وَيُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدً۬ا (٤) مَّا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ۬ وَلَا لِأَبَآٮِٕهِمۡۚ كَبُرَتۡ ڪلِمَةً۬ تَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ أَفۡوَٲهِهِمۡۚ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبً۬ا (٥) Further that He [the Quran] may warn those who say "God has begotten a son" (4) No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying. What they say is nothing but falsehood! (5)
Mary	19	88-95		وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَلَدً۬ا (٨٨) لَّقَدۡ جِئۡتُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا إِدًّ۬ا (٨٩) تَڪادُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتُ يَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا (٩٠) أَن دَعَوۡاْ لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ وَلَدً۬ا (٩١) وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا (٩٢) إِن ڪلُّ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّآ ءَاتِى ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عَبۡدً۬ا (٩٣) لَّقَدۡ أَحۡصَٮٰهُمۡ وَعَدَّهُمۡ عَدًّ۬ا (٩٤) وَكُلُّهُمۡ ءَاتِيهِ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ فَرۡدًا (٩٥) They say: "God the Most Gracious has begotten a son!" (88) Indeed, you have said an awful thing! (89) It is so bad to the level that the skies are ready to crack, the earth is ready to split and the mountains are about to fall down in ruins. (90) That they should invoke a son for God the Most Gracious. (91) For it is not appropriate for him Most Gracious to begot a son. (92) All the beings in the heavens and the earth shall come to God Most Gracious as a servant. (93) He took an account of them all, and has numbered them all exactly. (94) And every one of them shall come to him as an individual on the Day of Judgment. (95)
The Prophets	21	26-28		وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَلَدً۬اۗ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُ ۥۚ بَلۡ عِبَادٌ۬ مُّكۡرَمُونَ (٢٦) لَا يَسۡبِقُونَهُ ۥ بِٱلۡقَوۡلِ وَهُم بِأَمۡرِهِۦ يَعۡمَلُونَ (٢٧) يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيہِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ وَلَا يَشۡفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ٱرۡتَضَىٰ وَهُم مِّنۡ خَشۡيَتِهِۦ مُشۡفِقُونَ (٢٨) And they say: "God the Most Gracious has begotten a son." Glory be to Him [i.e., he is mch better than such a description]! they are all but servants raised to honor. (26) They speak not before He speaks, and they act by His command. (27) He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in fear of His glory (28)
The Criterion	25	2		الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُ تَقْدِيرًا He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He Who created all things and ordered them in due proportions.
